Japanese AV actress Mai Hagiwara (not to be confused with the other Mai Hagiwara from Japanese pop group C-ute and the Hello! Project) was born in Osaka, Japan, on the 22nd of March 1982. Although she is still quite cute, she is not cute enough (or young enough) to join her namesake in C-ute.

Mai has experienced and gone through nearly all aspects of modeling and acting during her still young career. Mai started out as idol and model in her teens, appearing on several TV advertisements in her teenage years. When she turned 18 she gave bikini and lingerie modeling a try, this progressed slowly to semi-nude, than full nude photoshoots, before she took the leap into JAV in early 2004 (The AV Debut was her first release).

Mai proved to be an instant success, mainly because before she moved into JAV she was very, very popular. It would be like the equivalent of Reon Kadena moving to JAV now, just imagine how popular that would prove. So this helped the launch of Mai's JAV career tremendously.
